My name is Betsy, and I’ve been the full-time caregiver to my children with disabilities, Kevin and Karly, for 30 plus years. They were born with congenital muscular dystrophy. I was first introduced to employU when Kevin and Karly graduated college and came to the company as clients. Due to their disabilities and limited work experience, they both had a hard time finding employment despite their education. employU was a huge help to our family and gave them both the opportunity to start working. I watched them both get hired by employU and thrive. Being a full-time caregiver makes it hard to find a job outside the home because I need to be home for Kevin and Karly. I’m very excited to now join the team myself. It’s great to work for a company that values me as an employee and gives me the flexibility I need to be successful while still being able to care for my children as needed. I’m looking forward to working for a company that provides such an important service to people who really need and deserve a chance.
