I am Robert “Bob” Coffey having moved to the great State of Florida in the summer 2021 from Illinois, where for the last 20 years I worked as a licensed Child Welfare Specialist at Lutheran Social Services and The Department of Children and Family Services as a Foster Care Licensing Specialist, a Child Protection Investigator, and a Caseworker. I have also worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer for Winnebago County. Other experiences have been as a Job Developer for at-risk youth, and in Youth Ministry. I attended Huntington University in Indiana and graduated with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Music. 27 hours of graduate work in Public Administration was completed at Northern Illinois University. I am married to my wife, Julie, and have two adult children and two grandchildren. I enjoy playing music at my church and with friends, photography, and traveling. I have been to 19 countries and most of the States. In 2020, I was able to go to India with other colleagues to assist in training nongovernmental organizations in human trafficking and how child abuse impacts child development.
