My name is Monique Santos, HR Assistant with employU. I live in Charlotte, NC but moved here from St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. I moved to Charlotte in 2000 and made it my home for my family and I. I started working in mortgage at Wells Fargo for 8 years and moved onto a nonprofit company named LifeSpan Inc., where I was the administrative assistant for one of their day programs. Within 7 months I was promoted to the HR Department as the HR Coordinator. I held that position and title for 6 years. As a HR Coordinator I was the first point of contact for all onboarding within the company. I implemented processes and created a fast and smooth onboarding. I strongly believe that the onboarding process sets the tone for a new hire. I love what I do because it allows me to be a part of someone’s most exciting time of moving into a new position.
