Patricia Nowicki
Position:
Virtual Instructor
When I was a young, middle school student, my teacher recommended that I work with other peers with disabilities and help them during P.E. I fell in love with the program and I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to be an educator for students with disabilities. I went to the University of Central Florida and earned my Bachelors and Masters in Exceptional Student Education. I then returned to UCF to earn my Autism Spectrum Disorders Graduate Certification as well. I have been an educator in exceptional education since 2005 while working on my degrees. In addition, I expanded my field of knowledge as a result of the COVID era and started my own preschool. I have learned how to run a business and a school all while continuing to teach. I have lived in Seminole County Florida for 30 years.
I feel like a historian when I speak to new Floridians and I love to share stories of how it has changed over the years. I was born in Puerto Rico and still have family there and I remember the culture and the language. I am bilingual
in Spanish and English and love to help those who need help transitioning into a new environment. I have two children of my own but have raised five children total whose ages range from 23 to 4 years old. I married my best friend from high school and we are happily living close to our families. We enjoy nature through bike rides and
kayaking. I am very excited to join employU and help students make the transition to further their education and enter the workforce. I hope to provide learning opportunities for them to help them make great career choices. I hope my background knowledge and experience helps prepare them to be the best employees that employers would love to hire.
