Join us in celebrating Financial Literacy Month with our free Financial Futures event! This interactive experience is designed to introduce participants to careers in banking while building essential financial literacy skills that support independence and long-term success.
Participants will begin the afternoon at the employU Winter Springs Office, where the group will meet before traveling to two local banking institutions for hands-on learning and career exploration opportunities.

Welcome & Kickoff
Location: employU – Winter Springs Office
Participants will gather to kick off the Financial Futures event with a brief introduction, and overview of the day’s schedule.
Career Exploration: Banking Careers
Location: Fifth Third Bank
Participants will visit Fifth Third Bank to learn about the many career opportunities available within the banking and financial services industry. Bank professionals will discuss roles such as:
- Bank tellers and customer service specialists
- Personal bankers and financial advisors
- Business banking professionals
- Corporate and leadership roles within financial institutions
This session will give participants insight into how banks operate and the skills needed to pursue careers in finance.
Financial Literacy Workshop
Location: Bank of America
The group will then travel to Bank of America for a financial education session focused on building strong money management habits and understanding how to manage finances responsibly.
Topics will include:
- Understanding the difference between needs and wants
- Setting savings goals
- Creating a spending plan
- Tracking income and expenses
- Learning how to protect your money and personal information
These practical lessons help participants begin taking the first steps toward financial independence.
