Rosen Hospitality Career Camp

Available to Orange, Seminole, and Lake County Residents

Learn about the education and career opportunities under the hospitality umbrella. Enjoy this in-person career camp with hands-on activities, site tours, field trips to hotels, and information from industry leaders and best the hospitality professors. This program is structured as an immersion experience and will cover an array of career opportunities within the hospitality field. There will be a graduation event with a certification presentation to all students who complete the program.

*Students ages 14-21, in school with an IEP or 504 plan who reside in Orange, Lake, or Seminole counties are eligible to participate.

What’s included:

  • Food: Lunches, drinks, and snacks.
  • Transportation: to and from employU’s downtown and Winter Garden offices to UCF Rosen College and site visits.
  • Up to $350 stipend: For students who attend all 50 hours of training.
    • Stipends will be prorated for those who are unable to attend all 10 days of camp at $35 per day of attendance
  • 20 hours Workplace Readiness Training 
  • 5 hours Career Camp Counseling on Enroll Opportunities 
  • 25 hours Work-Based Learning Experience

Session Dates

Week of June 17, 2024 and Week of June 24, 2024

In-Person, 50-hour Career Camp

Both weeks are in-person Monday – Friday, 5 hours per day of activities and a 1-hour lunch

Location: UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, 9907 Universal Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819

Transportation Assistance available

Attendance of the virtual mandatory orientation and training on June 14, 4:00 – 6:30 pm via Microsoft Teams, is required to participate
