Orlando is a city known for growth, both in its population and continually expanding workforce. However, one of the most challenging aspects of the Central Florida job market is finding the right person for the job. Finding a perfect match between job seekers and the positions available can be a complicated task. This is where employU steps in to assist.

As the largest one-stop-shop for disability employment in the state, employU’s staff are skilled in preparing and matching job seekers with a career that is both sustainable and fulfilling. Long-term employment within a field the client has an interest in is always the number one goal.  employU’s programs also provide employment solutions for businesses looking to add value to their workforce. With offices throughout the Orlando and Central Florida area, employU offers services both virtually and in-person.

Available specifically to the Orlando area is employU’s Hospitality Program. Due to the vast opportunities within the expansive hospitality industry of this popular vacation destination, employU has created a program that not only allows participants to discover the various fields, jobs, and aspects of the industry but also gives them the opportunity to gain insight from experts within the industry and experience working with industry giants, such as Rosen.  Participants can also earn industry-specific certifications, like ServSafe.  Functioning simultaneously as a paid training experience, education piece, and foot in the door, the program benefits both participants and host businesses by creating a pipeline of skilled potential employees.

Most importantly, employU offers so much more than just a job search. The organization offers a support system, providing long-term solutions that benefit job seekers, employers, and the local community.  “It’s not just a job search, it’s a support system that helps identify a person’s strength and abilities to secure long-term employment that is fulfilling and rewarding,” explains Executive Director, Keith Bourkney.

Additionally, employU also assists businesses with solutions to a specific problem they may be facing within their workforce. Facilitating an inclusive workforce that adds value to local communities and businesses, employU’s on-the-job training programs are a way for businesses to fill gaps within their workforce risk-free. These programs allow host businesses to have employU clients work for their business and gain experience while employU pays the wages. employU staff also provides ongoing support to both the client and host business, checking in with both to assist with any challenges as needed.

With a mission to continually foster and strengthen an inclusive workforce, employU’s tailored services provide sustainable workforce solutions that benefit both job seekers and businesses.
